Isaiah 8:18 “Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.”
Psalm 71:6-8 “By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee. (7) I am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge. (8) Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day.”
Definitions of signs and wonders
A sign is something that points the way or that lets you know where you are located.
The Hebrew defines sign as “a signal (literally or figuratively), as a flag, beacon, monument, omen, prodigy, evidence.“ The Greek defines it as “a mark or an indication; an indication is a hint.” Signs are evidence that proves God is alive and well, and point the way to Him.
A wonder is something that attracts attention or makes you think.
The Hebrew and Greek definitions for wonder are “conspicuousness [easily seen or noticed, attracting special attention], a miracle; by implication, a token or omen.”
It is time to bring change to the world around us. Sometimes God chooses the situations in our lives and around us to help bring those changes.
- Our lives are to point the way to Jesus.
- Our miracles and breakthroughs are not about us, but about those who will see God work in our lives
- Our relationship with God now can be used to touch future generations
- The process to your miracles is about the people who will see God's glory along the way.
